This Cookie Policy explains how GESTYN uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and in the app.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help a website work. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage, keep information on your device in the same way.

2. Our website

Our public website sets no cookies. We count visits with our own cookieless statistics: nothing is stored on your device, your IP address is not stored, and no data is shared with third parties.

3. Cookies in the app

The app and the pages your salon's clients use set only strictly necessary cookies:

• session — keeps you signed in to the app; essential; expires when you sign out or after your session's lifetime.
• csrf_token — protects your account against cross-site request forgery; essential; expires after 24 hours.
• client_session — keeps a salon's client signed in to their client portal; essential; expires after 30 days.

4. Information stored on your device

The app keeps your language choice and, on devices used by a salon team, a copy of the salon's recent data so it keeps working offline. This information stays on the device, is never shared with third parties, and is cleared when a different person signs in on the same browser. A referral code from a link you followed is kept for 60 days so it can be applied when you sign up.

5. Managing cookies

Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, no consent banner is required. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, but you will then not be able to sign in to the app.
